Why Ejom?
Africa produces some of the most beautiful, unique, and craft-rich goods in the world. Ankara fabrics from Nigeria. Kente from Ghana. Mudcloth from Mali. Shea butter from the northern savannas. Jewelry from Maasai artisans. Spices from Ethiopian markets.
And yet, too many of these makers struggle to reach buyers beyond their neighborhoods — while people around the world hunger for authentic, story-filled products that aren't mass-produced.
I built Ejom to bridge that gap.
The Story
Ejom started with a simple question: what would it take to build something like AliExpress, but exclusively for African-made products, reaching global buyers?
The answer wasn't easy. It meant thinking carefully about vendor verification, international shipping, quality control, currency conversion, payment processing, and trust — all while keeping the platform accessible for small African vendors who might not have fancy websites or global shipping contacts.
After months of building, Ejom is what that vision looks like today: a curated marketplace where African creators can list their products, where buyers anywhere can discover them, and where our team in Accra handles the logistics of getting those goods across borders.

Buyers browse, order, and pay securely. Our team coordinates with the vendor, collects the products, inspects them, and ships them internationally via trusted carriers. The vendor gets paid when the order is delivered. Buyers get authentic African goods with support every step of the way.
